As someone who is not typically a fan of House music, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique deep house style of Valentino Khan. When I heard that he would be performing at The Marc in San Marcos, I knew I had to go see him live.
The venue was packed with fans eagerly awaiting the start of the show, and the energy in the air was palpable. When Valentino Khan took the stage, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause, and the music began.
As the beats of the deep house music filled the room, I found myself getting lost in the rhythm and movement of the crowd. Despite my reservations about the genre, I couldn’t help but be swept up in the excitement of the moment.
However, as the show went on, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. While Valentino Khan’s unique style was certainly impressive, the show before the headliner fell a bit flat for me. I would rate it a 6.5 out of 10 overall – not bad, but not quite the transformative experience I was hoping for.
But perhaps the most memorable part of the night was when I saw a guy who looked just like my friend Erick in the crowd. For a moment, I was convinced that it was him, and I frantically tried to get his attention. It turned out to be someone else entirely, but the experience added an unexpected element of humor to the evening.
Overall, while Valentino Khan’s show may not have been my favorite, I’m glad I took the chance to experience something new and explore a genre of music outside of my usual comfort zone. Who knows – maybe next time I’ll discover a new favorite artist in the process.
