Under a canopy of azure skies, the Ubbi Dubbi Music Festival 2022 unfurled its vibrant tapestry, inviting one and all to partake in a symphony of sights, sounds, and unbridled energy. The anticipation hung heavy in the air, as festival-goers adorned in a kaleidoscope of costumes converged upon the verdant grounds, eager to indulge in the ephemeral magic that lay ahead.
I donned my most peculiar attire – the fusion of an Egyptian pharaoh and a rugged cowboy, defying convention and logic, yet somehow perfectly encapsulating the spirit of Ubbi Dubbi. Accompanied by my comrades, the steadfast Erick and the enigmatic Eduardo, we prepared to embark on an odyssey of sonic delights.
The festival’s first day proved nothing short of extraordinary. Among the pantheon of prodigious performers, Excision rose like a titan, commanding the stage with a display that could only be described as a celestial event. Thunderous basslines reverberated through the earth, intertwining with dazzling light shows, casting the entranced crowd into a state of euphoria. Such was the electrifying intensity of Excision’s performance that even the cancellation of the second day seemed a small price to pay for the privilege of witnessing this spectacle.
Another remarkable act was the enigmatic trio, Black Tiger Sex Machine (BTSM), whose set resonated with the crowd like a hypnotic incantation. Their music, a fusion of dark, ethereal melodies and heart-pounding beats, filled the air with a tantalizing energy that left the audience enraptured and thirsting for more.
As fate would have it, the second day of Ubbi Dubbi 2022 was not destined to unfold, for the heavens opened and unleashed a torrential downpour, accompanied by a symphony of thunder and lightning. While some may have lamented the loss of a day’s festivities, I remained untroubled. For truth be told, the lineup held little allure for me, and the memory of Excision’s transcendent performance was more than enough to satiate my hunger for musical rapture.

It is worth mentioning that Eduardo, a creature of comfort and an unfortunate victim of his own lethargy, had retreated before the apex of the evening, surrendering to the siren call of respite. Yet even in his absence, Erick and I reveled in the jubilant atmosphere, our spirits soaring high above the earthly realm, fueled by the indomitable energy of Ubbi Dubbi 2022.
In the end, I was left with a treasure trove of memories – a radiant mosaic of laughter, music, and camaraderie, immortalized forever in the annals of my mind.
